CCCF Designated and Organization Funds

Designated Funds are those in which the donor designates the specific use of grants from the fund (such as supporting a specific organization, or maintaining a specific facility).

Organization Funds are those in which the organization itself has established a fund supporting its general purposes.

Endowed Designated and Organization Funds

An endowed fund will exist in perpetuity, and spending from the fund is controlled by a spending policy. In short, our current spending policy is that 5% of the market value of the fund, based on a 20-quarter rolling average, becomes spendable each year, and that amount if unused remains spendable in the future. Gifts to endowed funds may qualify for the Michigan Community Foundation Tax Credit in addition to a federal income tax deduction.

Clare County Agricultural Society Endowment Fund -- Supports the mission of the Clare County Agricultural Society to promote and advance the interest of agriculture, horticulture, household arts and mechanic arts and sciences, and all kindred sciences and arts in their varied branches; to promote and conduct agricultural, industrial, educational and recreational fairs and exhibitions, and to provide entertainment and amusement therewith for the purposes of drawing the attention of the public thereto; and to own, operate and maintain fairgounds and facilities for the use and enjoyment of Clare County area residents and members of the general public. Clare Public Schools Endowment Fund -- Support the mission of the Clare Public Schools to provide students quality education and the skills necessary to be competent, productive, and contributing members of society. DONATE!

Homelessness Prevention Services Endowment Fund -- Supports creation of new activities or the expansion of existing prevention services that increase housing stability and permanency for at-risk households. DONATE!

Mid Michigan Community Action Agency Endowment Fund -- Supports the mission of the Mid Michigan Community Action Agency to empower low-income persons to become more self-sufficient by providing them with the resources, skills, knowledge, and motivation to improve their economic condition and develop strong family, social and community interactions. Mid-Michigan Industries Endowment Fund -- Supports the mission of Mid-Michigan Industries to provide jobs and training for persons with barriers to employment. DONATE!

Pere Marquette District Library Endowment Fund -- Provides the Pere Marquette District Library with resources to enrich its many programs, collections and services, while reinforcing the need to continued and increased public support for the Library. DONATE!

Volunteer Center of Clare County Endowment Fund -- Supports the mission of "responsible volunteers enhancing the opportunity for the people of Clare County to care for one another." DONATE!
