CCCF Field-of-interest Funds


Field-of-interest funds are funds in which the donor has designated a general field-of-interest (such as education, health, or women's issues) and the Community Foundation makes grant decisions within that field.

Endowed Field-of-interest Funds

An endowed fund will exist in perpetuity, and spending from the fund is controlled by a spending policy. In short, our current spending policy is that 5% of the market value of the fund, based on a 20-quarter rolling average, becomes spendable each year, and that amount if unused remains spendable in the future. Gifts to endowed funds may qualify for the Michigan Community Foundation Tax Credit in addition to a federal income tax deduction.

Brighter Futures Fund -- Supports nonprofit and public organizations who are striving to continue, expand, sustain and/or launch new programs that address the needs of Clare County youth ages 0-18 and their families, and whose projects or programs promote at least one or more of the following:

      1. Safe Environments
      2. Academic or Career Success
      3. Early Intervention and Prevention
      4. Recreational, Cultural and other Enrichment
      5. Physical, Mental and/or Social Health
      6. Connections to Community
      7. Improved Access to Services DONATE!

Clare County Healthy Youth/Healthy Seniors Endowment Fund -- Supports issues which support healthy youth and healthy seniors, such as smoking and substance abuse prevention and cessation, violence and conflict resolution, access to dental care, community alternatives for recreation, child care, pharmaceutical issues, preventing and managing chronic disease, long-term care alternatives, mental health and aging, workforce and aging, etc. DONATE!

Clare County Youth and Recreation Endowment Fund -- Provides grants to support the enhancement of recreation for all and quality of life for youth in Clare County. DONATE!

Clare County Youth Fund -- Supports the work of the Youth Advisory Committee in Clare County in accordance with the guidelines and expectations of the Council of Michigan Foundations and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. DONATE!
