Dow Corning Donor Advised Fund:

Submitting a grant for consideration by the Dow Corning Foundation Donor Advised Fund is easy! Simply follow these instructions:

  • Step One: Contact the Midland Area Community Foundation with your grant request information. Be sure to mention your request is for the Dow Corning Foundation Donor Advised Fund; the grant application is available online at the community foundation's web site. Click here for a copy of the grant application. (Formal grant application will be issued by the Midland Area Community Foundation)
  • Step Two: If the request meets the initial criteria, the community foundation will issue a grant number which should be recorded on the grant application when it is submitted. The foundation will also provide information on where to address electronic submission of the grant.
  • Step Three: Complete the formal grant application and submit electronically to the community foundation.

Grant requests must:

  • Show alignment with Dow Corning Foundation Vision and Mission

The Dow Corning Foundation demonstrates Dow Corning Corporation's commitment to innovation and collaborative, mutually sustainable growth in society and our local communities through grants. 

  • Its mission is to:
  • improve scientific literacy through increased access to math, science & technology education;
  • improve vitality and quality of life in communities where Dow Corning employees work and reside;
  • improve awareness and increase utilization of sustainable, innovative technologies to benefit society.
  • Be given to organizations with 501(3)C status.
  • Be given to organizations within the U.S. (both regional and local).
  • Provides local grants up to $5,000.
  • Provides regional grants up to $15,000.

The community foundation and Donor Advised Fund committee will review your application thoroughly.

Reviews occur every quarter:

  • 2012 deadlines:
    February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. 

You will be contacted by the community foundation directly when a decision is made.
