Senior Christmas Dinners
Every year the Midland Area Community Foundation has the
honor to host the Senior Christmas Dinner in Midland County. In partnership with the Midland Senior
Services, we hold a special dinner at each of the six Senior Service Centers in
the County. We serve approximately 1,000
seniors each year, including those that are homebound and unable to attend the
Center dinners. Along with the dinner, we
also recognize the spirit of the Christmas season with gifts for the seniors and Christmas
music for everyone to sing along.
This annual event has become a tradition in our community and is proudly sponsored by contributions from local area businesses and service organizations. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors in 2010, for the first time ever, we were able to provide a small gift to those seniors receiving home delivered meals, not just those that attended one of the Center dinners
