Applying for Scholarships at the Midland Area Community Foundation

The Midland Area Community Foundation hosts a yearly scholarship season for a large majority of our scholarships. In 2009, available scholarships will be posted February 2. Scholarships will be due March 6, 2009. For additional information, please see our scholarship calendar.

The Midland Area Community Foundation hosts an online scholarship process for most scholarships in hopes to bring ease and accessibility to a wider span of individuals in our community. While most scholarship opportunities are held here at the Foundation, some are available only through the college or university offering the scholarship. These 'held elsewhere' scholarships provide instructions in the descriptions.

Please Complete Before Accessing eGRANT

Make sure you complete the following steps before accessing the eGRANT form:

___ Read the scholarship guidelines and requirements
___ Read the scholarship descriptions and decide for which ones you    would like to apply
___ Write your essays and have them with you to copy and past into the eGRANT online application

Transcripts

Applicants must request that official transcripts be sent directly from ALL schools attended (high school and all colleges) to the Midland Area Community Foundation (76 Ashman Circle, Midland, MI 48640)

Reference Forms

There are two ways to fill out the Reference Form. You may provide your references with a paper copy or you can send them an electronic copy that they can type into.

You will need to download and print the reference form below, and give to two individuals of your choice. These individuals must complete and return the form to the Foundation by 5 p.m. March 6, 2009. References must only appear on the forms below.

Once you have all of the information above, you may begin the eGRANT application process by selecting the link below.

Please note: If you applied in 2007 or 2008 you should use the same login and password to access your eGRANT profile.
