Michigan Beer Tasting at RIVERDAYS

“All the new activities at RIVERDAYS on July 16 and 17th are going to make for a wonderful festival, “ said Jan McGuire, President and CEO of the Midland Area Community Foundation. “One of the new additions we think is going to be popular is the Michigan Beer Tasting.”

The Noon Rotary is hosting a Michigan Beer tasting on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  The event will be a chance for people to come out and taste over 30 Michigan-brewed beers.  Michigan breweries from all over the state will be represented.  People who purchase a ticket will get a wrist band and then use their ticket to identify the beers they have tasted.  All proceeds will benefit The Midland Noon Rotary.

“This is a chance for people to taste a variety of beers, to learn about the local breweries that are producing real craft microbrews,” said Drummond Black, President of the Midland Noon Rotary Club.  The breweries represented are, Arcadia Brewing (Battle Creek), Atwater Block Brewing (Detroit), B. Nektar Meadery (Ferndale), Bell’s Brewing (Kalamazoo), Founder’s Brewing (Grand Rapids), Mt. Pleasant Brewing (Mt. Pleasant), New Holland Brewing Co. (Holland), North Peak Beer Company (Traverse City), Three Sergeant’s Beer Company (Webberville), Tri City Brewing (Bay City).

Tickets are $10 and include 5 tastes. Additional tasting tickets will be available at the event, 3 tastes for $5. Advance tickets will be made available—visit www.mibeertasting.eventbrite.com or pick them up at the Midland Area Community Foundation, 76 Ashman Circle between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
