New Midland Area Community Foundation Trustee; David Ramaker



The Midland Area Community Foundation trustees voted in a new trustee. David Ramaker, Chairman, CEO & President of the Chemical Financial Corporation and Chemical Bank accepted a nomination to the Board of Trustees.

Mr. Ramaker’s dedication to the community is evident in his previous volunteer positions.  He is the past Chair and current Director of Midland Tomorrow, the former Director of Family & Children Services of Midland, a Leadership Midland and Vision Tri County member. Mr. Ramaker has also served extensively with the United Way as a Campaign Chairman, past board member, and the 211 Committee.  Furthermore he has contributed time and expertise to Midland Center for the Arts, CBM Educational Partnership, MATRIX:Midland, Music Society and the Michigan 4-H Foundation. “We’re absolutely honored to have Mr. Ramaker on our Board of Trustees,” said Jan McGuire, President and CEO of the Foundation.  “His expertise in our community is very valuable to our organization, we think that his leadership will benefit all of our activities.”

The Midland Area Community Foundation is guided by a volunteer Board of Trustees to meet its mission of strengthening our community by providing leadership, fostering collaboration on local needs and issues, and encouraging a legacy of giving through grants, scholarships, and events.
