To provide investment capital, in the form of loans and/or purchased equity interests, in order to deliver specific social benefits to the community. As a place-based philanthropic organization, MACF is looking for ways to even more meaningfully impact the community. Impact investing tools hold the potential to complement existing strategies to address pressing local challenges. Impact investing is not intended to replace or diminish Midland Area Community Foundation’s current programs and grantmaking activities, but to enhance the ability of the organization to be the catalyst and recognized leader for community philanthropy.
