Dale Waller Memorial Scholarship Fund #361
To provide an annual, nonrenewable scholarship to a graduate of a Midland County high school enrolled in a college vocational curriculum.
From the fundholder:
Dale was well liked by his peers, respected by his superiors and appreciated by all who needed his assistance. It was because of these qualities, plus more, that the Plant Division in which Dale worked, voted unanimously to forfeit a banquet and gifts that had been previously panned and to put that money into this scholarship fund. This scholarship, because of Dale’s active involvement with the skilled trades and his concern for training of the trades, was designed in that direction. Not all who graduate from high school are A & B students bound for university seeking their Bachelors, Masters, or PHD. Some don’t have the grades or funds or both. Some would just like to acquire a skill or trade and join the work force. This scholarship’s purpose is to help those students.
