To finance a scholarship to a student who has been recommended by the Family and Friends of Michael D. Leslie and/or to promote youth leadership and citizenship within the community.

Originally established by Janet Leslie in memory of her husband Michael, who proudly served the Midland Elks Lodge and the Midland community, this scholarship honors two individuals with a desire to contribute to the growth of youth leadership in the community. The award honors and assists a well-rounded area youth.
