Is to provide an annual scholarship award to Midland County high school graduating senior, graduate or Midland County resident who furthering their education to pursue a career in Outdoor Recreation and/or Outdoor Education. Preference will be given to applicants who have: 1.) Demonstrated financial need, 2.) Experience with Scouting, 4-H, or participation in other Outdoor Recreation and/or Outdoor Education activities, 3.) A plan to attend a college or university in the State of Michigan, 4.) Intentions of working in the field of Outdoor Recreation and Outdoor Education, 5.) Received this scholarship previously.
