One reference must be from a college instructor or professor.

From the fundholder:

Dick graduated in 1943 with a degree in chemical engineering from C.U. He volunteered for the Army Air Force, and after the war he obtained his masters degree from the University of CO. He was on the faculty at the University of Nebraska, and joined Dow Chemical in 1955. Him and his wife raised five boys and two girls, with three of the boys also obtaining degrees in chemical engineering. They value education highly and wish to help students realize their dreams of being an engineer.
