Robert B. Reinhart and Jean W. Reinhart Endowed Scholarship Fund #440
To provide an annual scholarship award to a Midland County high school graduate or graduating senior (I.e. from any high school located in Midland County) who is enrolled in or planning to enroll in any college or university in the state of Michigan. The scholarship shall be based on a combination of academic achievement, extra curricular activities and community service.
From the fundholder:
Robert B. Reinhart was a descendent of Midland County’s founding families on both his mother’s and father’s sides. After serving in World War II, he attended the University of Michigan where he spent the remainder of their lives. Robert was a businessman active in downtown Midland, and Jean was a homemaker who participated in many women’s organizations which focused on philanthropic work within the community. Together they watched Midland grow from a farming town into the city it has become.
Wishing to better the lives of students in the area, Robert and Jean recognized the myriad of colleges and universities within their home state of Michigan, and proudly established their scholarship to be awarded to Midland County students choosing one of these fine schools to pursue their educational goals and dreams.
