To provide an annual scholarship award of up to $5,000.00 to a student planning to attend or attending a four year accredited college affiliated with either: a) the Lutheran Church (ELCA or Missouri Synod); or b) the Presbyterian Church; with preference given to those who are pursuing either: a) a degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering or math); or b) in music. Preference will be given to students meeting one or more of the following criteria, not necessarily in the order listed: a) students who are members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland; or b) students who are members of the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland; provided however that students attending Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, will be given the highest priority. Students must have a B average or above to be eligible. Previous recipients may reapply.
