An Event for All Generations
Neighbors across the Great Lakes Bay Region are invited to attend the area’s third annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 21st, 2025 at the Greater Midland Community Center.
The educational and multicultural family event representing the traditional Lunar New Year was coordinated by a diverse volunteer committee from all over the Midland, Michigan area. Free and open to the public from 2:00-6:00 p.m., the celebration is presented by Midland Ford Lincoln, Inc.
The event will consist of traditional performances, vendor tables with educational cultural information, and food!

The Lunar New Year Planning Committee is excited to announce a brand-new tasting format and menu for 2025. We’ve partnered with local, authentic Asian restaurants to bring you a selection of classic dishes from China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and more, so you can enjoy the rich and diverse flavors that define these cultures.
As a part of our Lunar New Year event, please join us for an exclusive strolling tasting of traditional dishes typically enjoyed on the holiday, as well as throughout the year. The customary dishes will represent many different cultures from Asia. Food is a major part of the holiday celebration, symbolizing togetherness of all generations.
