Midland County Juvenile Care Center Awarded Grant from Foundation

The Midland County Juvenile Care Center was awarded a generous $10000.00 grant from The Midland Area Community Foundation for the Leadership Adventure Program which serves at-risk youth.  The 14 week program is a collaborative effort between the Juvenile Court, Midland Community Center, Rebecca Cox, and The Legacy Center. The program focuses on building leadership skills through various hands-on activities and, then generalizing the skills in the youth’s school, work, and personal life. The program has shown a significant increase in positive youth development through data analysis from The Legacy Center. The program was generously initiated by Rebecca Cox, a graduate of the Leadership Midland Program.

The Midland Area Community Foundation strengthens our community by providing leadership, fostering collaboration on local needs and issues, and encouraging a legacy of giving through grants, scholarships, and events.
