New Midland Area Community Foundation Welcomes New Employee, Nicole Wilson
The Midland Area Community Foundation welcomes Nicole Wilson as the new coordinator for both the Midland County and Gladwin County Youth Action Councils. Nicole, a Midland native, has accepted and started in her new role.
After graduating from Midland High School and Western Michigan University, Nicole worked as the Planning & Development Coordinator for Downtown Kalamazoo Incorporated. Earlier this year, Nicole returned home to Midland with her husband, Brent and their young son, Porter to be nearer to family.
With extensive experience in project management and event coordination, Nicole brings a unique perspective to the Youth Action Councils. Nicole will draw on many years of coaching and mentoring competitive gymnasts in motivating the Councils' youth to new endeavors.
"I'm so excited to be working with the youth in our community. Empowering these young people through philanthropy is an incredibly important task in building tomorrow's leaders and I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of it," said Wilson.
Jan McGuire, President and CEO of the Midland Area Community Foundation remarked, "Nicole's expertise in working with people, and events and the positive impact of bringing those things together will guide the Youth Action council members into new rose in their community. The students' leadership skills will be improved by her professionalism and advisory role. We are so pleased to have Nicole here."
