Scholarship applications for Midland County students available until March 1st
Midland Area Community Foundation (MACF) will accept scholarship applications online until March 1st. Scholarship offerings totaling nearly $500,000 are available to Midland and Gladwin county students.
The applications are open to high school seniors, current college students as well as adults resuming undergraduate study or retraining to enter the job market.
“The scholarship season is an exciting time for us,” said Heather Crowl, Scholarship Coordinator at MACF. “We expect to process over 300 applications, which require the effort of nearly as many volunteers to review submissions and essays.”
The annual awards come from nearly 200 individual funds that organizations and individuals have established at the community foundation for the sole purpose of providing scholarships to area students.
Last year, scholarships totaling $461,550 were awarded to 188 students at an awards ceremony held at Northwood University.
The application process for MACF scholarships is currently open. MACF requires applications be completed online at www.midlandfoundation.org. For details, visit the website or contact MACF at 989.839.9661.
