Emily Hockemeyer

Emily Hockemeyer began her role as Post-Secondary Education Leader at the Foundation in January 2022.  Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an English major and speech minor from Central Michigan University and a master’s in International Baccalaureate Education from Oakland University.  Her previous career experience includes teaching with Midland Public Schools, specifically in International Baccalaureate Language and Literature.  Emily has a passion of creating a sense of belonging, especially when it comes to equity in education. In her role with the Foundation, she engages in community efforts that support post-secondary education.  

FAVORITE THINGS

Emily’s favorite things are spending time with her family, traveling northern Michigan and reading.

Emily loves walking the Rail Trail and spending time in Sanford where she was raised.
