Provenzano & Murschel Join Board, New Slate of Officers Announced

The Midland Area Community Foundation recently welcomed Grant Murschel and Jeff Provenzano to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Alongside this pair of appointments at the May 2 Annual Meeting, the Foundation elected a new slate of officers.

Grant Murschel, a visionary deeply passionate about creating livable communities, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Board. Grant possesses a unique perspective on fostering thriving environments. His educational background includes a Master’s in Public Administration from American Public University and a Bachelor’s in GIS & Planning from Montana State University-Bozeman. Previously, Grant served as the Director of Planning & Community Development for the City of Midland, where he made significant contributions from 2013 until spring 2022. During his tenure, Grant spearheaded various community initiatives, including the impactful 2018 Midland County Housing Analysis, the MYPros Community Crowdfund program, and modernizations of the Community Development Block Grant program. Grant is currently the Director of Business & Real Estate Development at SPACE, Inc., a woman-owned small business in Midland. He remains actively engaged in the Midland community, serving on the Housing Task Force, Community Success Panel, and the Board of Directors at Members First Credit Union.

Jeff Provenzano, a seasoned executive with over twenty years of healthcare leadership experience, recently assumed the role of Vice President of Professional Services at MyMichigan Health, overseeing ancillary services. Jeff’s extensive finance and healthcare administration background positions him as a valuable addition to the Board. Before his current position, he provided oversight and demonstrated exceptional financial stewardship at multiple medical centers. Jeff served as CFO at three different hospitals in Maine for a cumulative eleven years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1991 and an MBA from Roosevelt University in 1996. Recognized as a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 2010, Jeff’s professional achievements reflect his commitment to excellence. Jeff enjoys traveling, reading, and cherishing moments with his wife, Gina, and their twenty-five-year-old triplet daughters.

In addition to the new board members, the Midland Area Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recently elected slate of officers. Michael Rogers assumes the role of Chair, leading the Board with a dedication to the Midland community. The full slate of officers is as follows:

  • Ann Holmon – Secretary
