The Midland Area Community Foundation is seeking nominations for the Lloyd Osborn Memorial Award. The purpose of this award is to memorialize the qualities of dedication and service to sports and community exemplified by the late Lloyd Osborn, long-time coach and teacher in Midland.
The Lloyd Osborn Memorial Award is open to any person who has been engaged in past or present coaching or teaching of sports, or in a leadership position in organized sports activities in Midland County. Nominations for the award may be made by any current or former resident of Midland County.
A nominee should reflect the values that guided Lloyd Osborn throughout his career as a teacher, coach, mentor, and administrator. Lloyd was noted to exude the following values:
– Kindness
– Forgiveness
– Compassion
– Patience
– Care
– Honesty
– Respect
Nominations due by April 6, 2026
Award recipient will be selected by May 4, 2026
– Selected award recipient will receive an inscribed plaque, their name on the permanent plaque displayed at Northeast Middle School in Midland, and $1,000 to donate to a nonprofit organization(s) in their honor.
