Slate of Incoming Trustees

Ali Huntoon

Ali is the Co-Founder/Director of HR and Talent Acquisition at Allied HR Solutions, a consulting firm that helps small and growing businesses with their human resources needs. She has over a decade of experience in the HR industry, covering various aspects such as benefits administration, compensation management, talent acquisition, and HR management. She’s worked with different types of organizations, from large corporations like Dow Chemical and Chemical Bank to nonprofits like Alma College, and many other small businesses and startups.

She’s also a certified fitness instructor, yoga teacher, and co-founder of Allied Group Fitness, a group fitness studio offering fitness classes for all levels and body types. She loves volunteering and serves as an Ambassador for the Midland Business Alliance, a board member for the Midland Business Alliance, and a club member of the Midland Noon Exchange Club.

When she’s not working or volunteering you can find her supporting other small businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region, listening to live music or drinking a good craft beer! Ali resides in Midland with her husband, Scott, and the best dog ever, Baxter.

 

Noah Kent

Noah Kent is the Director of Technology & Auditorium Services at Meridian Public Schools. He is involved in his community through work, and believes that Midland County is a great place to live and work, and hopes that the continued growth of Midland County will enhance the opportunities we have to offer.

Noah has worked at Meridian Public Schools for the past 10 years, and is an alumni of Meridian as well. Noah served on the Midland County Youth Action Council (MCYAC) during his time in High School, and volunteered at many events during that time. Noah was chosen to have a seat with the board of trustees during his final year of MCYAC to help update the trustee board on the happenings with the youth council, and to share the views of the youth council. Noah studied Business Administration and Management at Saginaw Valley State University, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in 2022.

Noah has grant writing and review experience from his time on the youth action council, as well as a desire to help positively impact the educational opportunities of the students at Meridian Public Schools. Noah’s mother, Michelle, and father, Kevin, work at MyMichigan Health in Midland. Michelle as an education specialist and Kevin as the system manager of infusion centers. Noah also has younger twin sisters, Karley, a registered nurse at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, and Makayla, who is attending Ferris State University’s criminal justice program.

Noah is excited to see how our community can continue to grow into an even better place for everyone to live and work.

 

Kristin Stehouwer

As Academic Vice President and Provost for Northwood University, Kristin Stehouwer is responsible for University operations and academics including student success, strategy development and deployment, and the university’s academic quality systems and analytics.

Prior to working in higher education, Kristin consulted with organizations in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and has specialized in the areas of strategic management, performance excellence, process improvement, and organization/leadership development. She has worked with organizations in the financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and service sectors. She worked on a special assignment to the U.S. Department of Commerce in the area of global manufacturing competitiveness.

Kristin earned her Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Political Science. Her graduate studies include International Law at the University of Strasbourg as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar. She completed postgraduate work at Harvard University.

Kristin serves as president of the Midland Country Club and chairs Midland’s Community Success Panel. She serves on the Midland Area Community Foundation grants committee and has been actively involved in the Communities of Excellence initiative. She is a trustee of Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her other board service includes the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center and Midland Noon Rotary Club. Her prior board service includes the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, Midland Center for the Arts, and the Michigan ACE Women’s Leadership Network. She volunteers as an examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Award and has chaired the Judges Panel for the Baldrige National Quality Award, having been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
