From the fundholder:
Knowledgeable and a favorite salesperson in ladies fashion and apparel, Mrs. Baker moved from the Vogue Shop, to the Style Shop, and then Calihan’s Town & Country. She later joined Sawkins Furniture and became a highly respected interior decorator. A certified cosmetologist, Mrs. Baker studied art and oil painting in Japan. With such a varied background of experience, it is easy to see why Mrs. Baker developed a passion for “the arts” in its various forms. Mr. and Mrs. Baker had no children and left virtually their entire estate to several charities.
