Duck Hunters’ Memorial Fund #00248

The mission is to support the development of a memorial project with the dual purposes of
1) honoring Jim Ayre, Rod and Brad Burnside, and Howard Swift, local citizens and duck hunters who lost their lives in a hunting accident in November of 1995, and 2) offering the general public the opportunity to enjoy duck habitat and nature in the same way it has been enjoyed by duck hunters since the beginnings of the sport. The purpose(s) for which the fund will be used include the development of a piece of property, owned by a nonprofit organization, as duck habitat, and to provide such amenities as a sculpture, a pavilion, public walkways, parking, benches and the like for the enjoyment of the general public.
