To provide an annual scholarship award for a student majoring in electronic media/broadcasting or enrolled in an electronic media/broadcasting class or actively volunteering in the electronic media/broadcasting department at any accredited community college or university.

These scholarship funds were set up to make an impact in an area important to the Malek family: education. The Delta scholarship was started because of Jim’s work with MCTV, and the others help students following career paths that coincide with his own passions in the STEM fields. Jim likes the idea of helping a student get through college, and these scholarships are not a one-time deal. Because they’re endowed, they will last as long as the foundation.
