To provide grants to Midland High School student athletes that need assistance with “pay to play” as well as for out of pocket expenses related to the sport such as clothing, equipment, medical physical etc. Based on fund balance, an annual grant of $2,000 or an amount meaningful to these student athletes will be determined each school year by the MACF. This grant is available for any student athlete regardless of age (high school) or gender that needs financial assistance to participate in an athletic program at Midland High School. The Athletic Director, School Counselor and Vice Principal will select the student athletes that will receive the grant each year with a process that will ensure equality to each sport and gender. Only one grant shall be given per student athlete per school year unless extenuating circumstances exist to allow a student to receive more than one in any given school year.
