Stanford H. Rowe Endowed Music Scholarship Fund #00196

To provide an annual scholarship award to a low brass student to attend a camp, take private lessons, purchase a low brass instrument or attend college studying music with an emphasis on low brass.

From the fundholder:

Stan Rowe is a lifetime supporter and participant in the music community. He started playing tuba in high school and continued while he attended the University of Redlands and USC. He has performed with the Midland Symphony Orchestra, the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band and currently with the Midland Concert Band, Midland Community Orchestra, the Chemical City Band and the brass quintet, The Touch of Brass. He is a Charter member of the Midland Concert Band. This scholarship was established by his wife Carolyn, while he was alive, so that he could see his love of music extended to aspiring students in the tri-city area by providing an opportunity to further their education on a low brass instrument.
