Midland Area Community Foundation and Long-Term Recovery Group to host Four Lakes Task Force for a second time in next Flood Recovery Session

March 4th, 2021

Midland Area Community Foundation (MACF), in conjunction with the Long-Term Recovery Group, will be hosting the Four Lakes Task Force for a second time during the March 11th Flood Recovery Session via Zoom.

“The last Flood Recovery Session featuring the Four Lakes Task Force was extremely well attended, showing high interest in this topic,” said Sharon Mortensen, President and CEO of the Midland Area Community Foundation and member of the Long-Term Recovery Group Steering Committee. “As the Four Lakes Task Force begins to transition their priorities from recovery to restoration, we want to provide a forum where community members can connect directly with leaders of the Four Lakes Task Force.

Presenters for March’s session are David Rothman and David Kepler. Rothman serves as a Four Lakes Task Force Board of Directors Member, representing Wixom Lake. His term runs from 2020-2023. Kepler serves as Board Chair, representing Sanford Lake. His term runs from 2020-2022.

“We become more optimistic every day as we work with our volunteers, elected leaders. and team of experts,” said Kepler. “We appreciate all the help and support we are receiving from our community to bring back the Four Lakes.”

Flood Recovery Sessions are open to everyone. Attendees are asked to register for sessions at midlandfoundation.org/zoomintoflood. March 11th’s Flood Recovery Session will take place at 10:30am.
