Public Arts Midland

Why We Exist

Public Arts Midland is a space to help people create connections through public art. We believe that art connects, heals, inspires, teaches, and speaks to us in myriad ways that build stronger and more vibrant communities. Public art gives our community a collective voice and a way to express our values while it brings awareness of and beauty to our city’s physical and cultural landscape.

2025 Theme: Art Grows

Public Arts Midland is thrilled to announce our 2025 theme: Art Grows. This theme was selected by the Public Arts Midland committee to celebrate the transformative power of art in fostering growth—within ourselves, our community, and the world around us. Our yearly theme serves as a lens through which we strive to share fresh perspectives.

Art Grows is a testament to art’s ability to nurture connection, cultivate understanding, and plant the seeds of possibility. Like a garden, art requires time, care, and action to flourish. All things begin with small steps.

Public art plays a vital role in shaping a thriving community, turning shared spaces into places where stories take root and relationships blossom. As we explore Art Grows in 2025, we invite the community to consider how art encourages personal development, fosters cultural exchange, and inspires progress.

Public Arts Midland is committed to enriching Midland County by supporting art’s power to grow curiosity, possibility and connections—making this an exceptional place where everyone thrives.
